Destination: Clapboard Creek
Directions: Clapboard Creek is north of Heckscher Dr, midway between 9A and the ferry.You can reach it via the Ferry and heading west, or 9A taking Heckscher Dr exit east.
Description: Clapboard Creek is a huge body of water situated between Brown’s Creek and Cedar Point Creek. It is relatively wide open area with small islands, finger creeks, sand bars, oyster beds, and some deep holes. There is also a westerly section known as Little Clapboard Creek that is also nice. Many a tournament angler has come in search of quality fish in this massive creek.
Difficulty: Easy paddle but a lot of water that can be covered.

Launches: There is 1 primary launch for kayak fishing.
- L1 – Ramp at The Palm’s Fish Camp on the northeast of the bridge across the creek mouth. There is room for plenty of cars and trailers. This launch also gives access to the southern portion of the Cedar Point Creek by paddling through the first channel north of the launch on the east side of the creek.
