Destination: Devil’s Elbow

Directions: Devil’s Elbow is the region of the ICW 3 miles north of the Matanzas Inlet. It is 2 miles south of 206 on the west side of A1A. If you are coming from I-95 take the 206 exit east then proceed south on A1A.

Description: Devil’s Elbow got its name from a treacherous area to navigate in the ICW before it was dredged some time ago. It is populated with many small islets, bars, and creeks, and is known as a productive fishing destination.

Difficulty: Easy.

Closest Bait&Tackle Shop: Devil’s Elbow Fishing Resort.

Launches: There are two launches for kayak fishing:

  • L1 – The Devil’s Elbow Fishing Resort ramp is on the east side of the ICW off A1A. It has ample parking, facilities, bait&tackle, and even kayak rentals. It is about 1/2 mile north of Devil’s Elbow proper.
  • L2 – The Green Road county boat ramp to the north provides another access to the northern part of this area. It is a minimal ramp without facilities.
